Policies due to COVID19

Due to the uncertain nature of the current situation we have increased the flexibility of our deferment terms and introduced the following range of temporary protection policies for all guests impacted by tour and cruise suspensions holding a future holiday credit that are yet to rebook and for all new bookings made from 24 June 2020.

Valid for all currently suspended International tours for 2020 holding a Future Holiday Credit

We are offering the following suspension policy to provide greater flexibility and protection: 
Future Holiday Credit – equal to 100% of the amount paid on the booking (some airlines fees may apply), in addition we have waivered the APT Travel Group change fee
Credit is valid for travel on any APT or Travelmarvel tour or cruise up until the end of 2022 
Credit can be used for multiple bookings if desired for the original traveller
Credit can be transferred to another person, however it is not redeemable for cash

All suspended tours for 2020/21 holding a Future Holiday Credit

For a limited time, we are including coverage & protection on your new booking at no charge. Our COVID Flexible Booking Cover includes the flexibility to change the date of your 2021 holiday up to 60 days prior for Australia & NZ holidays or 100 days prior to departure for all other holidays; and be able to rebook to a new date with no change fee (Airline fees may apply).

 

COVID Flexible Booking Cover

All bookings that have been affected by a COVID19 suspension can choose to rebook a tour or cruise for travel in 2021 or 2022 and have the COVID Flexible Booking Cover applied. Valid for rebooked tours or cruises made between 24 June 2020 and 31 January 2021. Not valid on Tailor Made Holidays.

The new 2021/22 booking can have 1 change of date up to 60 days prior for Australia or NZ holidays; or up to 100 days prior to the departure for all other holidays. The new date of travel must be within 12 months of the original departure date. Any funds paid to the APT Travel Group including Future Holiday Credits (if applicable) will be transferred onto the tour less any standard airline fees, in some cases airfares will be non-refundable (if applicable). The COVID Flexible Booking Cover date change can only be redeemed once. If not paid in full, final payment will be due 60 days prior to departure for Australia or NZ holidays; or 100 days prior to departure for all other holidays. We will honour your original booking terms and conditions including promotions, subject to availability. In the event of cancellation the booking will incur the original cancellation conditions as per original booking brochure conditions. This does not replace travel insurance, which you are recommended to purchase at time of booking.

New 2021/22 International bookings made before 31 January 2021 will have our COVID Flexible Booking Cover applied at no additional cost. Not valid on Tailor Made Holidays.

The 2021/22 holiday package can be postponed up to 60 days prior for Australia or NZ holidays; or up to 100 days prior to the departure date for all other holidays, and must be booked onto a new date within 12 months of the original tour date. Any funds paid to the APT Travel Group will be transferred onto the tour less any standard airline fees, in some cases airfares will be non-refundable (if applicable). The COVID Flexible Booking Cover date change can only be redeemed once. Final payment is not due until 60 days prior for Australia and NZ holidays or up to 100 days prior to departure date for all other holidays. In the event of cancellation the booking will incur cancellation conditions as per standard brochure booking conditions. This does not replace travel insurance, which you are recommended to purchase at time of booking.

Bookings wishing to be cancelled – for departures not suspended, departing in 2020 onwards: Normal fees apply as per our terms and conditions.
